Evening Care Program
WHO WE SERVE
To address the growing needs of the community and promote family stability, Bright Beginnings now offers a non-traditional evening care program. Bright Beginnings’ Early Leaning Evening Care Program supports families to work during nontraditional business hours, continue their education through evening classes, and participate in job training programs offered during evening hours.
By extending the hours of operation to include evening care, Bright Beginnings will serve the families of an additional 36 children between the ages of six weeks and five years old.
SERVICES
Through the Early Learning Evening Care Program, Bright Beginnings builds on the success of the accredited day program, and offers activities that stimulate children’s physical, social, intellectual, and emotional growth with special emphasis on supporting emergent literacy and math skills. Nutritious afternoon snacks and healthy dinners are served daily.
PROGRAM COSTS
This fee for service program is available to all families for a fee of $40 per child, per day. Bright Beginnings will also accept DC Department of Human Services (DHS) child care vouchers from families living in shelters or transitional housing programs.
