Our Facility
Bright Beginnings’ seven early childhood classrooms are located on the first floor of the Perry School Community Service Center. Locating in this unique community center provides homeless families with direct access to several organizations dedicated to empowering families. These tenants include job training programs, a subsidized health clinic, a GED and adult education program, a clothing bank, an after school care program for school-aged youth and social services for families living in the immediate neighborhood.

Directions
Bright Beginnings is located near the NEW YORK/ NEW JERSEY intersection near the new convention, on the first floor of the Perry School Community Center. The Perry School, a large three-story red brick building, is located at 128 M Street, NW. Parking is available on the street. 

Mt. Vernon/ New Convention Center/YELLOW/GREEN LINE

• Cross over 7th Street to ‘M’ Street.
• Continue walking down ‘M’ Street towards New York Avenue –about 6 blocks.|
• “M” Street will intersect with the New York/New Jersey intersection.
• Cross over New York Avenue. (at crosswalk)
• Cross over New Jersey Avenue.
• At this point you are on New York Avenue heading towards N. Capitol Street.
• You will pass a large church and convent and then veer RIGHT onto ‘M’ Street.
•The Perry School is on your right. 

New York Avenue Metro/RED LINE

• Take “M” Street exit.
• Turn right heading out of Metro towards N. Capitol Street.
• Cross over N. Capitol Street continue up 2-3 blocks.
• Cross over 1st Street, NW (you will be parallel to NY Ave at this point
• Walk past Boys and Girls Club to Perry School on your left (Playground Equipment out front.)

From Virginia:

• Take 1-395 N 
• Follow signs for ‘C’ Street Tunnel-- (after the Main Street exit)
• Stay on 395 N until it ends at New York Avenue.
• Take a RIGHT on New York Avenue. (Stay in the right lane)
• Cross over New Jersey Avenue.\
• After large Church on right the road will veer towards right. Green sign indicates direction of N. Capitol Street and 1st Street.
• This veer is ‘M’ Street.  Veer towards right. Once you make the turn the Perry School is immediately on your right.

From Montgomery County, MD:

Upper

• Take NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE. towards DC
• Take a LEFT onto N. CAPITOL STREET
• Take a RIGHT onto ‘H’ STREET
• Take a RIGHT onto NEW JERSEY AVE.
• Take a RIGHT onto NEW YORK AVE and an immediate RIGHT onto ‘M’ STREET
•The Perry School is on your right.

Lower

• Take 495 South toward Northern Virginia
• Take VA-193 to GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PKWY S
• Merge onto 395 N toward Washington via 14th STREET
• Turn RIGHT onto NEW YORK AVE
• Turn Right onto M STREET NW
• The Perry School is on your right.

From Prince George’s County, MD:

• Take 495 to 50 (NEW YORK AVE)
• Take a LEFT onto N. CAPITOL STREET
• Take a RIGHT onto ‘H’ STREET
• Take a RIGHT onto NEW JERSEY Ave.
• Take a RIGHT onto NEW YORK AVE and an immediate RIGHT onto ‘M’ STREET  (road will veer off New York Ave.)
• The Perry School is on your right.
