Success Stories The James family is a married couple who found themselves living in a homeless shelter with their young son after working a series of jobs for below living wage and not being able to afford to pay rent. The couple even considered divorce as the anxiety and depression caused by their living situation was enormous, particularly because they felt they were failing their son. After enrolling their son at BBI, both parents were able to locate new jobs. Employment that paid a living wage, along with the knowledge that their son was well cared for everyday, alleviated much of the stress in the family. Their son was also able to receive free speech and language therapy at BBI, helping him to develop age appropriate skills. The James family moved into permanent housing eight months after enrolling in BBI. |
